What is “Connections”?
NYT’s ‘Connections’ is a puzzle game that’s all the hype on social media these days. You will find people solving and sharing their successes and failures on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), and more. The game is managed by Wyna Liu, NYT’s associate puzzle editor. Connections gives players 16 random words that must be divided into categories they don’t know.
What Are Today’s Connections Hints?

Answers for Today’s Connections Game (July 10)
Are you still stuck with the Connections puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:
- FUTURE LIKELIHOOD – Chance, Forecast, Outlook, Prospect
- BACK TALK – Attitude, Cheek, Lip, Sass
- FISH – Bass, Fluke, Perch, Pike
- COMPONENTS OF EYEGLASSES – Bridge, Lens, Rim, Temple
The NYT Connections puzzle for July 10 showed a lot of sass. Thankfully, I have an attitude too. As such, I began by solving the Green category quite easily. Then came the Yellow category and it was today I realized that Prospect can be used like that too.
The Blue category came next and I am not a fisher by any means. However, nothing some Googling doesn’t fix.
With only four words left, I combined them all together to get the Purple category along with the NYT Connections for July 10.
