Since Phasmophobia made its frightening debut on PC, console players have eagerly awaited their shot at the popular ghost-hunting game. According to the game’s recent trailer, Phasmophobia will debut on consoles on Oct. 29, 2024, just in time for Halloween. Early Access will be available for PlayStation 5, PSVR2, and Xbox X|S. However, this does not include the Xbox Game Pass, as there are currently no plans for this subscription service. You can now wishlist the game on the PlayStation and Microsoft stores.

The only setback is that voice recognition may only be available until after the console launch. This feature allows PC users to communicate with the ghosts with a Spirit Box, utilizing recognized phrases. Console users will, instead, use text input. However, Kinetic Games is working on this mechanic to possibly get it ready for launch.

Phasmophobia will cost $19.99 upon release, showcasing a six-dollar increase from its current version. The Eventide update will also be available, bringing the terrors of the Point Hope map. In the future, new updates are expected to launch simultaneously on all platforms. So, there’s no need to worry about console or PC-exclusive content.
