Netflix is certainly making every cinephile cry, like it never did before, for a couple of days now. The remaining months of 2024 were supposed to be the happiest for every TV buff. However, witnessing the current situation, we can’t say that it will be exactly as we expected. Netflix has suffered a major security breach, and some of its most anticipated releases have started showing up online. Since the list continues to grow, we have compiled all the leaked anime, TV shows, and movies so far.

On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the most anticipated anime shows and a new movie got leaked on social media. Despite boasting a low quality, the leaks were good enough to hint at the animation quality. Although massive anime projects were impacted by the leak, we were making peace with it. However, the following day came with an even bigger shock as we learned aboutthe leaks from the biggest animated projects of the current and the following year.

1. Dandadan

Dandadan is a new anime adapted from a popular Shonen Jump manga series of the same name, so it is obviously one of the biggest releases of this year. The anime is produced by Science Saru, and it tells the story of two high school students, Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura, who bet on the existence of ghosts and aliens. What will they find? 2. Terminator Zero

No enthusiast can ever question the popularity of the massive Terminator franchise. This is the first anime from the franchise and it is produced by Production I.G. It tells the story of Malcolm Lee who is developing a SkyNet competitor but finds himself pursued by a robot assassin.

3. Ranma 1/2 Remake

Ranma 1/2 is one of those anime properties with a cult following. Based on the manga series, the original anime was released in 1989, and after several decades, it’s set to arrive with a remake from MAPPA.

4. Mononoke the Movie: Phantom in the Rain

Mononoke is an anime trilogy, and it has given us the first two movies so far. Unfortunately, while the fandom awaited the third film, they had to witness the Netflix data breach.

5. Arcane Season 2

Now, when we were finally heading towards the official release of Arcane Season 2, Netflix disappointed us by letting the leaksters play with the sentiments of the viewers by leaking some major clips from the much-awaited season of the popular animated series.

6. Heartstopper Season 3

This is the first live-action project that got leaked on the internet today alongside the anime titles. Heartstopper is a popular Netflix TV Show that earned immense viewership on the platform when the first and second seasons arrived. Fans were curiously looking forward to the third season, but unfortunately, someone leaked seven episodes of the show on social media.

7. Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld

This is another animated series leaked online from Netflix’s camp in the security breach. There is no information on the number of episodes available online right now.

8. Plankton: The Movie (SpongeBob Spin-off)

This is an upcoming animated musical comedy movie that is based in the SpongeBob SquarePants universe. Plankton continues to run the Chum Bucket, along with his wife, in this leaked film.

9. Spellbound

• Official Release Date: November 22, 2024

Another movie that’s part of the Netflix leak is Spellbound, which was scheduled to release towards the end of November. It is an animated film that sees Ellian, the daughter of the rulers of Lumbria, venture out on a quest to save them after they are transformed into monsters by a mysterious spell. This film has been directed by Vicky Jenson, known for Shrek.

In addition, Crunchyroll seems to be affected too as Re: Zero Season 3 has also leaked online. This anime has a massive loyal fanfare, and as the third season of the Isekai anime was set to arrive on our screens after a long wait of four years, fans were extremely excited. So, it is evident everyone is disheartened seeing the pilot episode of Re: Zero Season 3 getting leaked prior to its release.
