Marvel’s first superhero team or Marvel’s first family, Fantastic Four has been called by these names since their very first appearance. The first time this team of superheroes got their live-action movie back in 2005. However, the movie did not do well at the Box Office. Now, in 2025, The Fantastic Four is being rebooted with a new cast. So, while keeping the future in mind, why not take a look back at the classic? 1. Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards
Taking up the role of Reed Richards or Mister Fantastic, Ioan Gruffudd appears in this movie. We get to see him and Victor Von Doom work together on their project. As an aftermath of this, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben, and Johnny get superpowers and so does Victor. However, Victor turned out to become one of the most notorious villains in Marvel, Doctor Doom.
2. Jessica Alba as Sue Storm
Jessia Alba appears in Fantastic Four 2005 as Sue Storm also known as The Invisible Woman. She later marries Reed Richards and the team that started as friends, turns into a family. She is the elder sister of Johnny. As her name suggests. She can go invisible and also create force fields that act as a shield.
3. Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm
Ben Grimes even before his mutation, was the muscle of the team, and post-mutation, he turned into a rocky giant, making him practically indestructible. Played by Michael Chiklis, among all others in Fantastic Four, the transition was the hardest for Ben since everyone else was at least still human and retained their human features. But with Ben, he was turned into a walking-talking rock. However, he made his peace with this eventually and got married to Alicia Masters in the movie.
4. Chris Evans as Johnny Storm
One of the first roles Chris Evans did as a superhero was of Johnny Storm/ Human Torch in Fantastic Four (2005). He was majorly misrepresented in this movie and it was one of the reasons why The Fantastic Four (2005) was not appreciated much by the audience. However, now it seems that Doctor Doom is going to get the treatment he deserves with Robert Downey Jr. taking up the role for upcoming Avengers Secret Wars.

6. Hamish Linklater as Leonard
Leonard Kirk played by Hamish Linklater was a minor character in the original Fantastic Four movie. He was the right-hand man of Victor Von Doom at Von Doom Industries and after Victor turned into Doctor Doom, he remained his assistant. He was the one who figured out that Doctor Doom was not dead while shipping his frozen body to Lathveria.
7. Kerry Washington as Alicia Masters
Alicia Masters portrayed by Kerry Washington also plays a secondary character. However, she plays a really important role in making Ben Grimm realize that no matter how he looks he is still deserving of love. After his previous fiancee left Grimm once he turned into The Thing, Alicia and Ben fell in love with each other and later on got married in the movie.
8. Laurie Holden as Debbie McIlvane
Debbie McIlvane played by Laurie Holden is a minor character in the movie. She is the one who was supposed to marry Ben Grimm and they were engaged as well. However, after the accident that turned Ben into The Thing, she turned him down out of fear and broke their marriage leaving Ben hating himself. However, this was later on changed when Alicia came into Ben’s life.
