The 2024 Halloween update for Dress to Impress introduces the spooky Lana Lore questline. This three-part chapter revolves around Lana, delving into her mysterious past. Players assist Lana, uncovering details about her history, and upon completion, you’ll earn a dress, a golden shield, a crow, and a toga. Here’s a complete walkthrough covering all three chapters of Lana Lore Quest in DTI!

Dress to Impress Lana Lore Quest Walkthrough Chapter 1

To begin the Dress to Impress Halloween Quest, head into the DTI intermission area and go into the green teleport. It will bring you to the Dress to Impress Halloween event area. Find an arch marked “Chapter 1” and enter it.

The Forest and Finding Lana’s Childhood Home

You will be teleported to the start of the Lana Lore quest in DTI – a dark forest. You have to walk through it to find Lana’s childhood home before it gets dark.

Walk through the barrier to the left of the well. From here, you have a few options:

• You can either follow your teammates and hope they know where they are going
• Or follow the white flower petals on the ground—following these is a guaranteed method to find the house.

However, you have a two-minute timer, so you have to find the house quickly. You can run, but your stamina isn’t great. There are no enemies or jumpscares in this part of the game.

Speaking of jumpscares, you can turn off jumpscares if you wish in the Settings menu.

Helping Lana Find Her Items

A short cutscene will play once you reach the house. Lana asks you to retrieve six items for her escape.

• Camera
• Palette
• Teddy Bear
• Nail File
• Journal
• Greek Tales Book

To acquire those items, you’ll need to find keys corresponding to the same-colored locks throughout the house. But watch out for the two-headed monster lurking around, who will damage you with half a heart, and you only have three full hearts. Losing all of your hearts is a game over, and you must start the chapter all over again.

Blue Key and Camera

The first key for the Lana Lore mission can be found in the barn to the right of the house. Go up the ladder inside, and you’ll find the blue key. It unlocks the office on the second floor, located in her parents’ bedroom.

From the entrance, immediately turn right, climb the stairs, and enter the door on your left. You’ll see a door with a blue lock on your right. Hold E to use the Blue Key and open the door.

As you enter the room, the camera will be on the left, behind the boxes. Now leave the parents’ bedroom and go left into Lana’s room and place the camera in her suitcase.

Pink Key and Art Palette

While you’re in Lana’s room, to the right of the giant teddy bear behind the boxes is a pink key.

Head back downstairs, keeping an eye open for the monster, and at the bottom of the stairs, go right and open the second door, the one with the pink key lock.

The palette will be on top of the washing machine near the lamp. Now, run back upstairs and place the Art Palette into the suitcase.

Purple Key and Teddy Bear

Head back to Lana’s parents’ bedroom (the right door as you exit Lana’s room). On the right, next to the cabinet with the painting above it, there will be a purple key.

It unlocks the garage outside the house, so quickly head back outside, out the front door, then take a left, and you’ll see the garage to the left of the barn.

Go down the left side of the garage and unlock the door with the purple key. The teddy bear you are after is placed underneath the wooden planks. Return to Lana’s room and place the teddy bear in Lana’s suitcase.

Orange Key and Nail File

Head back down the stairs and head into the kitchen, which is more or less straight in front of you and to the left at the bottom of the stairs. As you enter the kitchen, you’ll see a plant on your right, a cabinet, and a lamp in the corner of the room. In that corner is the orange key.

The orange key unlocks the door at the very bottom of the stairs, the one to the left of the pink key lock door.

This key will unlock the bathroom, where you’ll find the nail file inside the bin behind the door. As always, go place it inside Lana’s suitcase.

Red Key and Journal

Head back into the kitchen and head towards the door on the left, behind the table. In the pot to the left of the door is the red key.

Once you have it, go out the door. Head to the left, and you’ll see the basement doors; go down the stairs and unlock the door using the red key.

Once inside, head towards the lit candle near the shelving unit, and to the right of the candle inside a cabinet is the Journal. Return to Lana’s room and place the journal in the suitcase.

Green Key and Greek Tales Book

To get the last item, the Greek Tales Book, you need the Green Key, which is located down the stairs and to the right, inside the living room. Head towards the piano; between the piano and the plant is the green key.

Now go back into the parents’ room, up the stairs and through the first door on your left, and you’ll see a ladder leading to the attic, which can be unlocked using the green key.

Once up in the attic, turn around and find two candles next to each other, a big one and a small one. In the boxes behind them is the Greek Tales Book. Quickly return to Lana’s room and place it in the suitcase. A cutscene will play out, and it’s time for Chapter 2.

Dress to Impress Lana Lore Quest Walkthrough Chapter 2

In this Lana Lore Quest chapter 2, you’ll find yourself navigating through a creepy medical center called Home of the Doves, and to make things worse, Nurse Julie is around and will chase you if you make a noise! The goal is to collect six map pieces hidden throughout the medical center.

All Map Pieces and Key Locations

As you explore the medical center, make sure to avoid the glass, books, or anything scattered on the floor, as Nurse Julie will hear this, and hide in the closets if she shows up!

Map Piece 1 – Room 3 (Lana’s Room)

Where you spawn, take the right archway, then turn right again, and head down the hallway, keeping an eye on the signs; you’re looking for Room 3 (Lana’s room).

Enter the room and head towards the bed on the right. Underneath the pillows is the first map piece.

Once you grab it, head back to the starting area where the “Home of the Doves” sign is located. This is to the left of Room 3, then left again.

Map Piece 2 – The Cafeteria

After returning to the Lana Lore Quest Chapter 2 spawn area, head to the left archway where a portrait is leaning.

Take a left turn and follow the hallway past the rainbow artwork that will appear on your left, then turn right. Keep an eye out for a sign that reads “Cafeteria.”

Head inside and go to the end of the cafeteria to the last table on the left to find the second map piece.

Map Piece 3 – Upstairs Bathroom

Leave the cafeteria while watching out for Nurse Julie. Take a left and continue until you see stairs on the left. This is just past Room 24, Deb & Lily.

Go up the stairs and follow the hallway until you can go left. On your left, there should be boxes; behind the boxes will be the Bathrooms.

Enter, then immediately turn right towards the bathroom stalls and enter the very last one to collect the third map piece.

Map Piece 4 – Recreational Room

After you exit the bathroom, take a left turn and enter the first door labeled “Recreational Room”—it’s hard to miss.

In the room, head right, and you’ll see a “Grocery Store” cardboard house. To the left of that sign will be a few crates; inside the crates is the fourth map piece.

Map Piece 5 – Storage Room

From the recreational room, go left, then go right at the washing machine, then turn right again, then turn left, and you’ll see a sign reading “Home of the Doves.”

The Storage Room is opposite this sign. On the shelf on the right, you’ll find another map piece.

Map Piece 6 – Head Nurse Julie’s Office

From the storage room, go diagonally to your left, past the sofa and the “Operating #2” room.

From the “Operating #2” room, go left, and the next door you come across will be Head Nurse Julie’s Office.

On her desk is the last and sixth map piece. Be warned: upon picking up this map piece, a jumpscare will occur, but it’s purely a jumpscare—you are still alive. Now, you may have noticed a red highlighted door appear on your screen. You need to make it to that door as fast as possible—just run!

Escaping Nurse Julie through the Medical Wing

Through the red door, you’ll turn to first-person, and your goal is to run as fast as you can before Nurse Julie catches you. Just follow the red smoke. Sprint; only jump when you have to, when obstacles are in your way. A cutscene will play out of you heading through a door at the top of the stairs, and now it’s onto Chapter 3—the maze!

Dress to Impress Lana Lore Quest Walkthrough Chapter 3

In this chapter of Lana Lore Quest, you have to navigate a maze. This maze is full of traps, such as spikes, falling scythes, and more, so just take it easy.

Navigating the Maze

Follow these instructions precisely, but you may notice fireflies appear; these will also guide you. Another helpful tip is that turning the graphics down to low will help you navigate the maze further, as there is a faint red line on the floor. Keep an eye out for candles, as these help you know you are going the right way.

• Take your first right, past the spike trap.
• Follow the path, jumping over the scythe trap and the next spike trap.
• Turn left after the spike trap, but avoid the crushing square shadow in the middle.
• Walk along the side of the wall to avoid the shadow.
• Turn right and follow the path.
• Avoid another square shadow as you turn the corner.
• Take the second right, jumping over the scythe trap.
• Go straight through the circular hole in the wall.
• Turn left through another circular hole.
• Turn right, jump over the scythe trap, and maneuver around the rolling spike trap.
• Follow the path.
• Jump over a floor spike trap and the subsequent spike trap.
• Turn left, then right towards the rolling spike trap.
• Go straight, turn left twice. You’ll see a floor spike trap on your right.
• Follow the path to a rolling spike trap; turn left.
• Follow the path, avoiding the square shadow.
• Turn right past the floor spike trap; you’ll see a candle.
• Cross the next floor spike trap and turn left.
• You’ll encounter two scythe rope traps and a floor spike trap.
• Go through the circular hole in the wall.
• Take your next right (you’ll see two candles).
• Go through the circular hole, then past a floor spike trap, a scythe rope trap, and another circular hole.
• Jump over the rolling spike trap and take your first right, avoiding the square shadow.
• Follow the remaining linear path to the end of the maze, avoiding any traps.

Dress to Impress Lana Lore Quest Chapter 3 Boss Fight Walkthrough Guide

At the end of the maze, a cutscene will play out, and you’ll enter a boss battle. First, pick up the scythe, and then red portals will spawn evil Lanas. You need to fight these Lanas using your scythe.

Then rocks will appear from the ground; make sure you stand on top of one as the water rises, which will hurt you.

Next, red lines will appear on the ground. You need to make sure you are not on these red highlights to avoid taking damage from the flying rocks. Basically, go anywhere that is not red.

Now avoid the red circles that appear on the ground—the same as before: go anywhere that is not red, as if you stand on the red, rock spikes will erupt from the ground.

Now, a Lana encased in a black shadow will start chasing you. Just run or walk to avoid it. Eventually, she’ll tire out and cause stone ripples to occur that will stun you. Either jump over these or stand on the rocks in the arena to avoid getting hurt. After this attack, she’ll highlight red—this is the time to attack!

Spam click your scythe to deal as much damage as possible, as the health bar at the top of the screen will start to drain. You want to aim to kill her, there and then, as if you don’t, you need to go through all the above again until you get another chance at attacking her.

Once her health bar is gone, the quest is complete!

By completing the Lana Quest, you’ll unlock four unique items: a dress, a golden shield, a crow, and a toga.
