There are tons of consumables hidden in every corner of Hyrule when you’re playing Echoes of Wisdom. While some are more useful than others, it’s never a bad idea to pick up the items dropped from monsters, in treasure chests, or found in grass.
Monster guts are one of the many items Princess Zelda can find during her adventure, but if you don’t know what to do with them, they might seem useless. Luckily, we’re here to show you just what to do with them.
Where to find Monster Guts in Echoes of Wisdom
Monster Guts can be dropped from enemies you defeat, just like Monster Fangs. However, they are a rare drop, so you are not going to get one from every monster you defeat. If you’re looking to farm for Monster Guts, I recommend any of the spots that contain a horde of Moblins guarding a treasure chest. This is where I’ve found most of mine.
One of the stages of the Slumber Dojo, A Shock in the Dark, will also reward you with eight Monster Guts for completing the stage. This is a good place to earn some Monster Guts quickly if you’re in need.
You can also occasionally pick them up as a reward for side quests or treasure chests. However, these are few and far between. You’ll find far more out in the wild.
If you’re having trouble getting a hold of them, try equipping the Survey Scope or Survey Binoculars. These will cause Smoothie ingredients to appear more often, including Monster Guts and Monster Fangs. The Survey Binoculars, in particular, work the best.
How to use Monster Guts in Echoes of Wisdom
Just like smoothie ingredients, Monster Guts can be taken to a Business Scrub to make potions. Potions are different than smoothies since they use monster parts as ingredients, but they can have similar effects.
Here are all the recipes you can use Monster Guts for:
Potion Name | Ingredients | Effect |
Chilly Potion | Monster Guts Chilly Cactus | Grants Fire-Proof for five minutes |
Electro Potion | Monster Guts Electro Apple | Grants Lightning-Proof for five minutes |
Piping-Hot Potion | Monster Guts Warm Pepper | Grants Ice-Proof for five minutes |
Tough Potion | Monster Guts Tough Mango | Grants Damage Reduction for five minutes |
Making a potion is the same as making a smoothie. Just select your two ingredients and confirm for the Business Scrub to whip it up for you. It will automatically come out as a potion instead, so don’t worry about doing anything differently.
