Can You Unlock Gohan Black In Dragon Ball Sparking Zero? And If So, How?

While completing Gohan’s main storyline in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, players can embark on an alternative scenario in which he is the warrior chosen by Zamasu, thus giving birth to Gohan Black.

But although you can fight this new variant on multiple occasions during the story, is it possible to unlock Gohan Black as a playable character? And if so, how? Here’s whether or not you can unlock Gohan Black in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

Can you unlock Gohan Black in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?

Differently from Goku Black, it is currently impossible to unlock Gohan Black as either a character or a costume in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. The same can be said about his Fused Zamasu variant, which unlike the former —who seems to have access to only the base moveset of Goku Black and boasts a new transformation animation— plays exactly like the character’s main timeline version.

Will Gohan Black ever become available?

To add to our bad news combo, there’s no way to know if Gohan Black will ever be released as a playable character, as doing so might demand the recording of new lines and animations. I believe, however, that is very likely that his look will debut as an alternative skin for Adult Gohan in the near future.

But don’t let that put you down, as Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will receive more than 20 new playable characters as part of its first Season Pass, which is set to feature Daima representatives and is almost guaranteed to include the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero fan favorites Gohan Beast and Orange Piccolo.
