Inspecting weapons is possible in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta, but it’s not as straightforward as simply pressing a button. Here’s how you can do it.
Right now, you can play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta in early access, and if you have missed out on this window, the open beta arrives shortly for everyone to jump in, from September 6 to 9.
How to inspect weapons in Black Ops 6 beta
To inspect your weapons in Black Ops 6, simply:
- Press the “I” button on your keyboard. For console or controller players, press the D-pad Left button.
- Then, choose the Weapon Inspect option (the third one on the list).
That’s it. The inspection will start right away and the UI will be hidden briefly. Remember, you won’t be able to shoot immediately, so make sure to be in a safe place first before inspecting your weapon. Every weapon in Black Ops 6 has the same inspection animation. However, if you purchase special blueprints from the store, they’ll come with some unique animations that you won’t find elsewhere.
To cancel the inspect animation, all you need to do is press any button — your shooting, aiming, crouch, or sprint buttons will work. However, this feature won’t work if Tactical Sprinting is active or any other object such as a Semtex or Frag Grenade is in your hand.
While running across all the maps available and shooting down enemies, you might want to inspect the weapon you’re using and admire it, or even get a screenshot for your YouTube video thumbnail.
