Augments are the newest introduction to the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. These will provide you with in-depth customization options for multiple items and here’s how it works.
Black Ops 6 is the upcoming iteration in the Call of Duty franchise and its Zombies mode has already become quite popular. Thanks to Treyarch, the game mode is packed with features including Augments, Equipment, Perk-a-Colas, and more.
But what are these Augments and how do they work? To answer your question, we’ve got everything you need to know.
How do Black Ops 6 Augments work?
As per Call of Duty’s official blog, Augments will provide “a rich and innovative customization experience.” This will allow you to research the best Perks, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades to use in games, thereby providing a deep progression path. You can access the research paths of each of them from the pre-game Menus between matches.
There will be two types of Augments:
- Major
- Minor
Major Augments will provide “substantial advantages” while Minor Augments will come with “limited advantages” in matches.
All Augments in Black Ops 6 Zombies
At the time of writing, Call of Duty only revealed two Augments each (six in total) for Field Upgrades, Perks, and Ammo Mods for Black Ops 6 Zombies. However, there will be more than 100 Augments to unlock once the game gets released.
Field Upgrade Augments – Dark Flare
- Heavy Shadow (Minor Augment): Zombies impacted by the beam are slowed.
- Shadow Ball (Major Augment): The beam is replaced with a sphere that damages enemies as it travels and detonates at the end of the duration.
Perk Augments – Melee Macchiato
- Hidden Impact (Minor Augment): Melee kills reload a portion of your held weapon.
- Vampirism (Major Augment): Successful melee attacks heal for 25 health.
Ammo Mods Augments – Riffing on the Shadow Rift
- Targeted (Minor Augment): Dropped zombies fall on other zombies.
- Explosive Rain (Major Augment): Zombies that are dropped from portals will explode on contact with the ground.
That’s a complete rundown of Augments revealed so far for Black Ops 6. The game also introduces a new mechanic called Omnimovement, which will surely enhance the Zombies mode.
