After a long wait, Black Myth: Wukong is finally here, and we are having the time of our lives as the Monkey King. The journey of the destined one, Wukong, isn’t forgiving at all, and you will keep meeting ruthless bosses during your adventure. Thus, if you are planning to take breaks in between and save your progress, this is the right way! So, if you are wondering how to save your progress in Black Myth: Wukong keep reading to find out right here.
Black Myth Wukong: Save Your Progress
Unfortunately, Black Myth: Wukong doesn’t feature the traditional manual save option where we can save our progress with just a click. The game comes with an ‘autosave‘ feature that automatically saves your progress as you traverse through these magical lands. However, do note that you cannot turn off autosave in Black Myth Wukong.
However, if you still want to save on your own and feel relieved, here is how to do it:
- During your journey, you are bound to encounter the Shrines which act as a checkpoint. This acts very similar to the Bonfires, Sculptor’s Idols, Grace, etc you find in FromSoftware games.
- As soon as you find one, you don’t need any item as Wukong plucks his hair to transform it into an incense stick. You just have to offer it to the shrine to access it.
- Next, you have to go with the ‘Rest‘ option as it restores you to full health and respawns the enemies.
- As you rest, your progress will be saved and a golden thread icon will be showcased on the screen to indicate that you’ve saved your progress in Black Myth Wukong.
- As usual, do not ever close the game while the icon stays on your screen as doing so can lead to losing your progress.
Furthermore, every time you die, you get respawned on the last shrine you stopped by. This basically confirms that your progress will be saved every time you die and get respawned as well.
Therefore, finding the shrines is the real key to saving your progress whenever you want to. However, do note that Black Myth Wukong autosaves in random checkpoints to make sure you don’t lose any of your progress.
In a nutshell, make sure to stop by these shrines frequently to not worry about losing your progress. You can quit the game peacefully then and get back to it to resume your adventures of the Monkey King later on. That being said, how is your journey so far? Let us know in the comments below.
