Deadpool and Wolverine has quickly become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. It has been showered in love by fans all over the world. However, the biggest reason for the hype around Deadpool and Wolverine is the cameo of numerous beloved characters, some of which were lost in the vast history of Marvel in cameos. So, find out about all the Deadpool 3 cameos you get to see in the movie.
1. Dafne Keen as X-23
The appearance of Dafne Keen as X-23 has been in rumors since the very first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine was released. However, with the final trailer for Deadpool 3, it was confirmed that she will be reprising her role last seen in Logan, one of the movies you should watch before going to Deadpool 3. In the movie, she plays a substantial role as she finds Deadpool and Wolverine passed out after fighting with each other.
She also played a major role in fighting with Cassandra Nova’s forces to help Deadpool and Wolverine escape from The Void and get back to Deadpool’s timeline for them to save it.
2. Tyler Mane as Sabertooth
When Deadpool and Wolverine was being filmed, some set images were leaked featuring Tyler Mane as Sabertooth but the images were labeled to be fake, and the rumor was shut down. Not long ago, a teaser for Deadpool and Wolverine was released which confirmed that Tyler Mane will be reprising his role in the movie. However, his appearance was not for too long since as soon as he engaged in combat with Wolverine, he cut Sabertooth’s head clean off with a single strike.
3. Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15
The involvement of TVA in Deadpool 3 was confirmed with the very first trailer of the movie. With this confirmation, people speculated that Mobius and Hunter B-15 could make a return in Deadpool and Wolverine. However, even though Mobius did not make an apperance in Deadpool 3, Hunter B-15 appears in the final act of Deadpool 3 to arrest Mr.Pradox for almost removing an entire timeline without authorization.
4. Aron Stanford as Pyro
One of the most unexpected characters to have a cameo in Deadpool 3 is Pyro. We got a glimpse of Aron Stanford in the role of Pyro in the Deadpool 3 teaser after almost a decade. The last time we saw him playing the fire-controlling mutant was in 2003 in X2 and in 2006 in X-Men The Last Stand.
However, this time he is seen sporting a costume very similar to his comic book counterpart. In the movie we see him absorbing all the fire Human Torch fires at him and leaving him powerless. We also see that he is working with the TVA but when Cassandra Nova finds out about this, she kills him in front of his employer, Mr. Paradox.
5. Jason Flemyng as Azazel
Another major cameo we caught in the new Deadpool and Wolverine was the appearance of Jason Flemyng as Azazel. The demon-like mutant was last seen in Fox’s X-Men movie, X-Men: The First Class. Azazel appears in the movie as a side character and his screen time is quite low. We get to see him engage in combat with Blade and ultimately, Azazel is taken down by him.
6. Henry Cavill as Cavillrine
Sometime back, the news of Henry Cavill meeting people at Marvel surfaced, and guess what, the purpose of that meeting was finally been revealed with the screening of Deadpool 3. Henry Cavill appears as a variant of Wolverine named ‘Cavillrine’ in Deadpool 3. However, even though his screen time is not too much, we get to see him ripped as a rock and stabbing Deadpool into the time door while smoking a cigar.
7. Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool
Another hot topic related to Deadpool and Wolverine was the question of who is going to play the role of Lady Deadpool in Deadpool 3. Well, the same listing that revealed Henry Cavill, also revealed that Lady Deadpool is being played by none other than Blake Lively. People have been speculating that Lady Deadpool will be played by either Taylor Swift or Blake Lively and it looks like, we have a winner. Even though she did not take off her mask, it was pretty cool to know that Blake Lively is playing the character.
8. Channing Tatum as Gambit
Another unexpected reveal about the cast was the involvement of Channing Tatum in the role of Gambit. A long time back, a Gambit film was being made at Marvel Studios with Channing Tatum in the role. However, due to production troubles, this movie was canceled and we never got to see Tatum play the role. Now, with Deadpool 3, Channing Tatum finally gets to play Gambit on screen, and saying that it’s super cool to watch on screen would be an understatement.
9. Chris Evans as The Human Torch
Back in 2005, Marvel released a live-action adaptation of the Fantastic Four where we got to see Chris Evans in the role of the Human Torch. However, the movie was not very well received and the sequel released in 2007 met the same fate. Now with Deadpool and Wolverine, Chris Evans has made a return in the role of Johnny Storm AKA The Human Torch. However, his character is rather short-lived and gets killed by Cassandra Nova.
10. Wesley Snipes as Blade
Appearing on the screen for the first time in 1998, Wesley Snipes took up the role of Blade, a vampire, who is also a vampire hunter, and after the final movie in this franchise released in 2004, he reappears as Blade in Deadpool 3 where he is one of the members of the resistance against Cassandra Nova in the Void. He helps Deadpool and Wolverine along with others to escape from The Void.
11. The Hulk
During the promotional run of Deadpool and Wolverine, a 30-minute preview of Deadpool 3 was given to the people who attended the event. Some people after watching it teased on social media that Deadpool 3 will give us a combat sequence between Hulk and Wolverine.
However, as it turns out, we do not get a full-fledged combat sequence between Wolverine and Hulk. Instead, we see Deadpool visit a timeline to recruit Wolverine but come in between Wolverine and Hulk as they are about to fight. We do not get to see which variant of Hulk this was so we can’t really say anything about it. But yes, Hulk appears in Deadpool 3.
12. Chris Hemsworth as Thor
In a rather thunderous update, it was revealed at Cinemacon 2024 that Thor will also have a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. An exclusive footage from Deadpool 3 was screened at the event, which showed Thor grieving over Deadpool’s dead body similar to what we witnessed in Thor: The Dark World when he was grieving the fake death of Loki and when Deadpool looks at the footage, Mr.Paradox said “You were not supposed to see that”.
13. Happy Hogan
Another unexpected Cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine was the appearance of Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. He makes an appearance in the first few minutes of the movie itself when we see Deadpool giving him an interview to become a part of The Avengers. However, Happy does not recruit and tells him that he will keep an eye on Deadpool if his mind ever changes about him.
14. Stan Lee
Did you really think Marvel would miss out on this ritual? Well, it didn’t. Deadpool and Wolverine features a Stan Lee cameo (RIP old man) during a fight sequence with Deadpool Corps. He appears in an advertisement on the side of a bus that reads “Stan Lee Steamer, your friendly neighborhood cleaners.”
15. Matthew McConaughey
This is one of the most surprising cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine. Yes, Matthew McConaughey has a Deadpool 3 cameo too. He is the man behind the mask of Cowboy Deadpool. While he did not take his mask off, we knew. All right, All right, All right!!
