8 Best My Hero Academia Villains, Ranked

My Hero Academia: All Villains Ranked From Weakest To Strongest

My Hero Academia is full of incredible superheroes and villains. Most of the time, the heroes in the U.A. outshine the bad guys. However, it’s hard to ignore the fact that the villains in MHA come with some powerful quirks. This makes many fans wonder about the most powerful villains in the series. So today, we have decided to rank the best and most powerful villains in My Hero Academia.

Spoiler Warning: This article includes spoiler for the characters in the My Hero Academia manga by Kohei Horikoshi. Proceed with caution.

8. Muscular

Goto Imasuji, aka Muscular, is a beastly villain in My Hero Academia. The ability to manipulate his muscles makes him incredibly strong and big. Overall, Muscular will remind you of those jacked-up people at the gym who seem like they can crush your skull with their hands.

Even though he had more battle experience and power, Muscular was humbled by our protagonist Deku in the series. Deku unleashes his heroic power to defeat Muscular, but not before getting bullied by the villain and getting several life-threatening injuries.

7. Overhaul

Overhaul was not a big guy like Muscular, but he was surely a force to be reckoned with. His ability to disassemble and reassemble anything was fascinating yet terrifying. He could basically destroy a person’s body simply after touching it. Overhaul showcased the terrors of this ability by destroying Magne without breaking a sweat.

Overhaul could have been an even more threatening villain if he hadn’t succumbed to his guilt for causing harm to Eri. Ultimately, Overhaul’s regret caused his downfall and prevented him from becoming more useful to All for One and the League of Villains in MHA.

6. Himiko Toga

Don’t get fooled by Himiko Toga’s cute appearance, as she’s more than just what meets the eye. As one of the nine lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front, Himiko makes things quite difficult for the Heroes.

Her quirk, Transform, allows her to take anyone’s physical appearance just by drinking their blood. Not only that, but she can also copy someone else’s blood later in the story. However, Himiko shows her compassionate side when Ochaco forces her to confront her feelings. Thanks to Uravity’s efforts, even though Uraraka is on the verge of death, Himiko stands down and sacrifices herself to save the superhero.

5. Gigantomachia

Another muscular being in the My Hero Academia, Gigantomachia, served as a bodyguard for All For One for several years. He wasn’t very bright, but he still posed a great threat to heroes through his physical prowess.

Gigantomachia was loyal to AFO, but his master refused to choose him as his successor, making him bitter towards AFO. Eventually, out of his anger towards All For One, Gigantomachia sided with the heroes during the Final War.

4. Dabi

Dabi is Endeavor’s child, but unlike Shoto, he turns to the villain’s side. Dabi had a quirk that was as deadly to him as it was to others. His quirk burned more than half of his body, and he was able to survive for this long with AFO’s help.

Dabi has immense hatred for his father in his heart, and that was the sole reason why he sided with AFO. Dabi was incredibly powerful and gave quite a challenge to the heroes, especially his brother Shoto. However, eventually, Dabi realized his mistake and grieved from a prison cell where he was breathing his last breaths.

3. Stain

Stain, or the Hero Killer, wasn’t exactly working for AFO, but he was a greater threat to the heroes as compared to the League of Villains. Stain knew that the Hero system was corrupt, and most people who were heroes only helped people to become popular, not because they genuinely wanted to save humanity.

For very long, Stain hunted Heroes and showed no remorse for killing them. However, he sees true conviction inside of Deku and calls the boy the only true hero. Stain was different from other villains, and we can’t forget his speech from when he was captured by the Heroes after going against Deku.

2. Tomura Shigaraki

Tomura wasn’t born a villain, but he became one after being manipulated by AFO. Tomura was a neglected child who embraced his dark side out of his hatred for All Might. His quirk, Decay, allows him to disintegrate anything after touching it, whether it’s a human or an object.

Tomura was immensely powerful on his own, but he became an even bigger threat after becoming a vessel for All For One. As Tomura was only second to AFO, it took several heroes’ sacrifice to finally bring him down.

1. All For One

Finally, the true embodiment of evil, All For One, is surely the strongest and the worst in the My Hero Academia universe. Having stolen several quirks, All For One claimed the lives of countless heroes and innocent humans. He manipulated several people and made them do his bidding for decades.

He gave All Might a life-long injury, and he came back no matter how many times All Might defeated him. We feel bad for several villains in My Hero Academia, and most of them went through a redemption phase.

However, we only felt hatred for All For One, and it would be incredibly satisfying to see him getting dusted by Deku and All Might in the anime.

That’s it. This is our ranking for the 8 best villains in My Hero Academia. Of course, characters like Twice or Lady Nagant, one of the best MHA female characters, are amazing villains in the series, but they just couldn’t find a place a place top 8 for us.
