How To Make A Spotify Pie Chart Of Your Music Taste

Every year, you and I look forward to Spotify Wrapped, the company’s year-end review feature that highlights the best songs, artists, and genres we discovered in the past year. But 12 months is far too long of a wait, and I’m guessing many agree. That’s why people have turned to Spotify Pie Chart.

It’s a new viral trend where you connect your Spotify account with the tool, and it shows your monthly Spotify data in a colorful chart, and people are sharing it over on X, Reddit, and TikTok.

Make Your Spotify Pie Chart

Spotify Pie analyzes your listening habits like your top genres and artists, and arranges it all in a neat-looking pie chart format that is easy to understand and share with others. You can thank UCLA student Darren Huang for starting this trend, as he is the brain behind this tool.

It’s fairly simple to use, and if you want to be a part of this trend, and share your music journey with others, then here’s how you can do it.

1. Visit Spotify Pie (website), then click on the Login to Spotify button.
2. Enter your account credentials to sign in to your Spotify account.
3. Click on Agree to connect your account with Spotify Pie.
4. Wait as the tool analyzes your songs and artists and bakes your pie chart.
5. Once ready, click on See Your Spotify Pie to find out what genre you’ve been listening to.

What My Spotify Pie Chart Looks Like

Now hey, I am an avid Spotify listener too, as the songs help pass the one-and-a-half-hour metro trip I have to take every day from home to the office and back again. So I was curious to find out what my pie chart says about me, and honestly, I am not surprised by the results.

After tackling a 15-second ad, here’s what I got. As you can tell, I am a Bollywood mushy guy, and romantic as well as heartbreaking songs are my bread and butter. I won’t lie, I have been jamming a lot lately to MemeMandir’s brain rot track called “O Skibidi Re” which is why it is in my top 3.

But that aside, I like the concept of quickly glancing at your top genres and artists. Though I am not a fan of the new Spotify Pie Chart as the colors look dull, and it only shows my top 8 artists. The classic version is way more colorful and shows up to 20 of your most-listened-to artists.

Grab Your Spotify Pie While It’s Hot

Spotify Wrapped popularized this trend of learning and sharing what you have been up to all year on the platform with others. But as I said in the intro, waiting for a year is too long for our TikTok-addicted brains. So anything that fills the gap in between will inevitably go viral. People are even revisiting it after a year of it going viral.

However, Spotify Pie isn’t the only way to get your fill of your own Spotify data. There’s also Recieptify which shows your top songs, artists, or genres as a supermarket receipt. Then there’s Spotify Bedroom, which creates a digital bedroom based on your listening habits. These are to name a few, but you can find more such Spotify stats alternatives out there.

Now I won’t shy away from sharing my obscure chart online, just to find my soulmate, who also enjoys brain-rot interpretations of beautifully sung titles. It’s a fun trend to be a part of, and I see why people are enjoying it. So if you get your daily dose of music from Spotify, I recommend you try snagging a piece of your Spotify Pie.
